Selayang Municipal Council

Majlis Perbandaran Selayang(MPS)

bullet   Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) was established on 1st January 1997.
bullet   It was known previously as Gombak Disttrict Council (MDG) which was established under the Local Government Act 1976, Act 171.
bullet   MDG was born out of a series of development for several ‘previous Local Government Authorities such as :-

icon Rawang Township Board
icon Kuala Ampang Township Board
icon Taman Keramat PKNS Area
icon Batu Caves Industrial Area

 

Function
 
bullet To provide basic township services in compliance with Act 171, Act 133 and Act 172.
 
bullet To be the effective agent for physical, economics and social development in line with the State and Federal Government policies.
